The sdkfz 250/1 was originally developed as light armoured halftrack for the Wehrmacht that would share some parts with the sd.kfz 10. It was used as a troop carrier, recon vehicle and command vehicle among other things.

- Support variant armed with a 7.5cm KwK 37 L/24 gun and an MG 34.
