It was also known as the “Pakwagen” because of its primary role as a self-propelled anti-tank gun carrier. Deveolped in 1943 the Sd.Kfz 251\/22 was equipped with a 7.5 cm Pak 40 anti-tank gun mounted on a platform at the rear of the vehicle.
