Model representing a Stug III A unknown unit , summer 1941 Eastern Front
Stug III A extremely detailed model with great historical accuracy
DESCRIPTION Stug III A
The Sturmgeschütz III Ausf. A (or StuG III Ausf. A) is the first model of the famous German assault gun from World War II. Produced in a run of only 36 units by Daimler-Benz in early 1940, it is based on the Panzer III Ausf. F/G tank chassis and saw its baptism of fire during the Battle of France. It was designed to provide direct, immediate infantry support. Lacking a rotating turret, it features a low-profile fixed casemate that reduces its silhouette and simplifies production. It has a four-man crew (commander, gunner, loader, and driver).
36 units produced early 1940.
